Sophia LaTorella is Chief of Staff to Marcelo Claure, acting as a strategic resource to senior leadership, bridging executive priorities and day-to-day execution across investment, portfolio, and functional teams to advance Brightstar’s long-term growth.
Before Brightstar, Sophia was an Associate at Claure Group, the family office of Marcelo Claure that manages over $5B in assets. She worked on the investment team, evaluating a range of companies in the technology space, and supported the CEO directly.
Sophia began her career at Morgan Stanley in the Technology Investment Banking Group, where she advised technology clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and other strategic transactions.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Finance from the University of Kansas School of Business, where she was a Jennett Finance Scholar, a member of both the Business Honors and University Honors Programs, and President of the Women in Finance Club.
