Sean Courtney is a Managing Director at Brightstar, helping to lead the firm’s lower middle market strategy.
Sean has served on numerous Board of Directors including AMCS, Confluence, BakeMark, Black Duck, OWYN, Perforce, Provation, Symplr and VictoryLive.
Prior to joining Brightstar, Sean spent more than a decade at Clearlake Capital Group, a global alternative asset manager with over $185 billion of assets under management. At Clearlake, Sean completed over 100 transactions across the technology, industrials, business services and consumer sectors.
Sean began his career at Monitor Clipper Partners, a middle-market private equity firm in Boston.
Sean received his B.S. in Commerce with a concentration in Finance from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
