Evidently America’s Group found another auction that met those criteria, as on Wednesday the company announced the acquisition of Mid-State Auto Auction, located in New York Mills, Minn.

By adding the facility that now will be known as America’s Auto Auction Minnesota, the company now operates in 21 states nationwide, continuing its aggressive growth strategy while remaining firmly committed to delivering exceptional customer service across every market it serves.

“We are excited to welcome the Minnesota team into our growing family,” America’s Group CEO Chuck Tapp said in a news release. “Mid-State’s reputation for integrity and customer service aligns seamlessly with our values.

“As we continue our expansion into new markets, our focus remains the same, supporting dealers with outstanding service and delivering consistent results backed by nationwide resources and local auction service,” continued Tapp, who also will be among the executives to appear on stage during Used Car Week that runs Nov. 17-20 in Las Vegas.

The company highlighted this acquisition represents another milestone in America’s Auto Auction’s national expansion, strengthening its presence in the Midwest while adding “valuable local expertise, loyal dealer partnerships, and a first-class facility” to its portfolio.

As the company continues its rapid growth, leadership reiterated, “the mission remains clear: expand strategically while preserving the customer-first service culture that has long defined America’s Auto Auction.”

Founded in 1983 by industry veteran Robert Thompson, Mid-State Auto Auction began as a single-lane outdoor sale and has grown into a four-lane facility serving dealers across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

“Built on a foundation of fairness, integrity, and customer care, Mid-State has become a trusted leader in the regional automotive remarketing industry,” America’s Group said.

Sales are held every Friday at 10 a.m. (CT), in-lane and online through Simulcast, with a multi-platform selling approach that includes OVE and SmartAuction.

“Mid-State has been our family’s life’s work for 42 years, and we’re proud of the legacy of service our team helped us build,” the Mid-State Auto Auction management team said in the news release. “America’s Group shares those same values and care, which makes this next chapter a natural fit. With our dedicated team staying in place, the service dealers count on isn’t changing and we are excited to see the business continue to thrive under new leadership.”
