Investment supports the continued development of an integrated vision care platform
New York, NY and West Palm Beach, FL – May 7, 2026 – Brightstar Capital Partners (“Brightstar”), a middle-market private equity firm focused on partnering with entrepreneurs and management teams, today announced a strategic investment in Simon Eye Holdings, LLC (“Simon Eye” or the “Company”), an integrated vision care platform providing optometry, optical, and ophthalmology services across the Mid-Atlantic region. Simon Eye CEO Edward DiMartino will continue to lead the Company, and he and members of the management team will retain a meaningful ownership stake.
The investment is part of Brightstar’s lower middle market strategy, which focuses on partnering with family-, founder-, entrepreneur- and operator-led businesses and supporting management teams in executing operational and strategic initiatives.
Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, Simon Eye operates a network of clinics offering a full suite of vision care services, including eye exams, optical retail, and surgical procedures. The Company is supported by centralized infrastructure spanning scheduling, revenue cycle management, marketing, and clinical administration.

Brightstar is partnering with Neil Collier, a seasoned healthcare executive with experience in the vision care sector. Mr. Collier has previously worked alongside Mr. Yoon in building and scaling optometry platforms and will serve as Executive Chair of the Board of Simon Eye. In this role, he will work closely with Mr. DiMartino and the management team to support the Company’s strategic and operational initiatives.
