Chris Nicolini is a Managing Director focused on Value Creation for the firm’s lower middle market strategy. He brings nearly three decades of experience as an operator, having worked in companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 10 enterprises, as well as serving as an Operating Partner in private equity.
Before joining Brightstar, Chris was a Senior Operations Executive at Abry Partners, a middle-market and lower middle market private equity firm with $17 billion in assets under management. At Abry, he led value creation initiatives across the portfolio and played a key role in building out the firm’s value creation capabilities.
Earlier in his career, Chris held senior positions at General Electric, where he led the global technology infrastructure team, and at Windstream Hosted Solutions. He began his professional journey as an Army Officer, serving in both the Armor and Cavalry corps.
Chris holds an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
