Andrew Klein is an advisor to Douglas Products.
Andrew has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the pest management industry, spanning ownership, executive operations, corporate development, and strategic advisory roles. His background includes building and scaling businesses, leading large commercial organizations, and advising on mergers, acquisitions, and growth strategies across the sector.
Andrew is the former President and owner of Assured Environments, a third-generation family business that he grew into one of the largest commercial urban pest management companies in the United States. After 27 years of ownership, he led the successful sale of the business to Terminix in 2019. Following the transaction, Andrew held several senior leadership roles at Terminix, including Division Vice President and Vice President of Corporate Development, where he managed acquisition sourcing and pipeline development.
Andrew initially joined the Brightstar team as an advisor to Douglas Products and later stepped in as Chief Executive Officer, serving in the role for over two years with responsibility for sales, marketing, regulatory affairs, government affairs, and finance. After completing his term as CEO, Andrew returned to an advisor role with the company.
In addition to his advisory role at Douglas Products, Andrew is a founding partner of GKO Advisors, a consulting firm advising pest management operators, manufacturers, distributors, and financial sponsors on strategic investments. He is also a lead investor, board member, and president of 40 Grid LLC, a SaaS company serving the pest management industry.
Andrew has been deeply involved in industry leadership and governance, including service as a former board member of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) and the Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA). He has also served as Chair of the NPMA Bed Bug Task Force and currently serves on the board of the NPMA Pest Management Foundation.
Andrew earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree in European history from Columbia University. He also completed Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program.
