Dottie serves as an Operating Partner and works closely with Brightstar’s portfolio companies on process improvements, culture, organizational transformation, and leadership development to drive investment returns.
Dottie brings more than two decades of leadership experience, including 8+ years as a C-suite officer, at Fortune 50–100 companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Hilton Worldwide, and Merck. As CHRO of Cambrex Corporation, she built out the company’s global HR and communications infrastructure and helped navigate its $2.4 billion acquisition and subsequent transition from public company to PE-backed firm. She also served as CHRO at Cantel Medical and advised the CEOs of Bristol-Myers Squibb and Merck on culture change and talent strategy, and at Johnson & Johnson led the people integration of Pfizer Consumer Healthcare across 38 countries.
Dottie currently serves on the Board of Advisors for ChangeEngine, an AI-powered, PE-backed HR automation company. She has also served as an adjunct business professor at Rutgers University and as a featured speaker at Cornell University, Columbia University, and the Conference Board.
Dottie holds a Master of Science in Organization Development & Applied Behavioral Science from American University and she completed Harvard’s Executive Leadership Program. She is a Six Sigma Green Belt and holds active MBTI, ECI, Hogan, and Drexler Sibbett Team Development certifications.
