John Kett is an advisor to America’s Group.
John is a former CEO and President of IAA, an online auction platform for salvage vehicles. He has extensive experience leading growth, operational improvement, and digital transformation across large, multi-site B2B organizations. Over more than a decade in executive leadership, he’s guided company-wide technology modernization efforts that expanded service capabilities and enhanced data and analytics functions.
In 2019, John led the spin-off of IAA from KAR Global (now Openlane, NYSE: KAR), overseeing the development of infrastructure and processes needed to operate as an independent public company. His responsibilities included regular engagement with investors and other stakeholders, including activist shareholders.
John also brings deep experience in board governance and long-term strategic planning. He worked closely with board committees and led shareholder engagement efforts during the company’s combination with RB Global (NYSE: RBA), which concluded successfully in 2023.
He currently serves on the board of B&R Auto, a provider of recycled automotive parts and a portfolio company of Highview Capital. He has also agreed to join the board of Evolve, based in Ireland. John enjoys collaborating with small- to medium-sized private companies where his background supports operational performance and strategic development.
